Tom Graff,
Owner & Machinist.
Mechanical & aerospace engineer turned shop owner. Bringing engineering rigor to precision machining in Western New York.
Working with machine tools since childhood.
I’ve been working on and with machine tools for as long as I can remember. My spare time has always been spent in the garage or basement on projects of every flavor — automotive, machining, home improvement, and even sewing, leatherwork, and computing.
In 2019 I graduated from the University at Buffalo with a bachelor’s in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Since then I’ve worked as a machinist and product engineer in turbo compressors, and built Harris Corners Machine LLC to bring that same level of engineering thought and shop discipline to your projects.
If you have a job that needs precision, a tricky setup, or just someone who’ll think through the problem before cutting metal — I’d like to hear about it.
14-inch 5-axis impeller.
My day job is as a machinist and product engineer in the field of turbo compressors. The impeller pictured is one of the larger ones I’ve made — it started as a 14-inch-diameter blank of 15-5PH stainless, roughly 5 inches tall and weighing over 200 pounds.
For this part, I reverse-engineered the sample, built the CAD model from scratch, and programmed the simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths required to cut the complex blade geometry. Every critical dimension was verified on the Hexagon CMM before delivery.
Have a part that needs the same level of attention?
Send a drawing, STEP file, or just a description. We’ll get back to you with feasibility and a quote, usually within a couple of business days.
