About ME
I’m Tom. I’ve been working on and with machine tools since childhood. My spare time is spent either in my garage or in my basement both of which are littered with projects. Automotive projects, machining projects, home improvement projects, even sewing, leatherworking, computing, and woodworking projects. I graduated from Univeristy at Buffalo in 2019 with a bachelors in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering, and I pride myself in my ability to learn and problemsolve. To that end, and I would like to bring my skills and exprtise to work for you on your projects.
Machining

My day job is a machinist and product engineer in the feild of turbo compressors. Pictured left is one of the larger impellers I have made which started life as a 14 inch diameter blank of 15-5PH about 5 inches tall and weighing over 200 pounds. I reverse engineered the sample part, created the model in CAD, and programed the simultaneous 5-axis toolpaths required to complete the impeller.
SOME SIDE PROJECTS
Heavy Equipment

My brother and I bought this 1966 CAT D4D sight unseen with the intentions of getting back in service. This of course went sideways and lead to the purchase of a second bulldozer fot parts. Still in progress.
Off-Roading

My senior year of college consisted less of acedemia and studies and more of long hours producing this: a home built, 200hp, pontiac 3.8 v6 powered, rear transverse engine, rwd buggy.
Project Vehicles

I saw this 1961 Ford C-850 in my local paper and decided to take a look at it. Getting it home was an adventure, but with 10,000 original miles, it’s both the oldest and newest vehicle I own.
